Community Medical Services (CMS) is the Nation's first medication-assisted-treatment (MAT) clinic with 24/7 availability. Today's guest, John Koch, works is the CMS Community Impact Manager. John tells Zach a deeply personal story about developing-- and later overcoming-- an opioid addiction; how/ he began working at CMS; and the impact CMS has had on his life.
Zach traveled to the clinic-- in Phoenix Arizona-- as part of his research for his long-form review/analysis of CMS. (The article was published in Filter Magazine and Alternet). This interview with John Koch one of those interviews.
